Working with hours and minutes

Add or subtract time durations and convert between hours-and-minutes notation and decimal hours.

Steps

  1. Choose addition, subtraction, or conversion.
  2. Enter hours and minutes. Values are normalized automatically.
  3. Use decimal conversion when a timesheet or billing system expects decimal hours.
Example

Example: 1 hour 45 minutes equals 1.75 decimal hours.

Decimal hours = hours + minutes ÷ 60.
