Working days vs calendar days
Know the difference between elapsed calendar days and working days before planning a deadline.
Calendar days
Calendar-day counts include every day in the period unless the specific calculation defines its endpoints differently. Weekends are still calendar days.
Working days
A basic working-day calculation usually counts Monday through Friday and excludes weekends. Public holidays must be supplied when the calculator does not know your local holiday calendar.
Planning tip
For a real deadline, confirm whether the rule says calendar days, business days, or working days and whether the start or end date is included.
